Matthew 14:23
Matthew 14:23: “And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.”
One fact about Jesus that is too easily overlooked is that He spent quite a bit of time alone in prayer. Jesus spent hours praying. He often prayed after He ministered to the multitudes, and before He preached to them. He prayed for His disciples, and He prayed before He was arrested and taken to be crucified.
In other words, Jesus spent a great deal of time in prayer. It was clearly very important to Him – and it ought to be important to us as well.
