Matthew 12:38
Matthew 12:38: “Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.”
This is an astonishingly dumb thing to say. Jesus had healed countless people, raised the dead, and done more miracles than could be counted, and yet the Pharisees demanded more. The whole reason the Pharisees wanted to execute Him was because He had miraculously healed someone on the Sabbath! There was no shortage of signs – but there was a shortage of faith.
