Revelation 19:7-8

Revelation 19:7: “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.”

As we can see, the Marriage of the Lamb takes place in Heaven towards the end of the Tribulation. This, of course, means that the Bride must be in Heaven when this happens! You cannot have a wedding if the Bride is missing.

This is very strong evidence for the Rapture. After all, it is simply not possible for the marriage to happen without the bride! The bride has got to be there. In order for this Marriage to take place, the entire Bride must be in Heaven. Since the Marriage takes place in Heaven during the Tribulation, that can only mean that the Church is in Heaven while the Tribulation is taking place – and that must mean that Someone came and took the Church to Heaven.

Revelation 19:8: “And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”

This theme is repeated throughout Revelation, and it bears mentioning: whenever we see “fine linen” or “white garments” or other such things used symbolically in Scripture, it is symbolic for righteousness. That is an important theme to keep in mind.
