This short continues the series of Rob Mankind’s campaign for governor. In this ad he once again talks about “the issues”.

These shorts continue the political ad series, in which I play the role of a politician running for governor. In these ads I talk about education and gas prices.

This short is the first one in a series where I play the role of a candidate running for governor. These were so much fun to make, although these days politicians say things that are so crazy that it can be difficult to parody them.

In this short film, the world is warned of a new crisis that is sweeping the nation. I play the role of an overweight slob (a role that I personally relish). This is probably the funniest short we have made so far.

The science fiction book Final Destination (my first novelette) is now available as a free download. You can download it by clicking on this link: Final Destination.
The book is a novelization of a computer game that I wrote a few years ago. You can find out more about the game on the Cyragon Games website.
From the website:
“The planet Larson’s Folly was hit with a stellar shockwave at 7:14am on March 28, 2815 A.D. The world instantly broke up and suffered tremendous devastation: the atmosphere was blown off the planet, the oceans boiled away, and all life on the planet died. Nothing was left alive.
“There was only one question: did any escape?
“That is the question you were sent across trillions of miles to answer. Larson’s Folly was the sole planet in the galaxy that held the secret to limitless energy – energy needed to restore the galaxy after a devastating civil war. You must uncover the fate of those who once lived on the planet: did they live to tell the tale or did Larson’s Folly become their final destination?”

This is the first short film that was produced by Cyragon Shorts. It is a film adaptation of the short story “The Eye Doctor”, which was posted on this blog some time ago. In it I play the role of someone who can’t see very well, and my cousin Ben Farmer plays the role of neighbor.

Yes, it is me, and I am finally back! I apologize for my long absence. It is amazing how difficult it can be to keep up with a blog.
The good news is that I have been very busy in the past few months. Most of my time has been spent on two projects: filming (very) short films, and finishing my book! I’ve made great strides on both projects, and have a lot of material for posts.
Over the next few weeks (beginning today) I will do two things:
1. Begin posting the short films that we’ve made.
2. Begin posting the finished chapters of my novel. (I’m adding the finishing touches now; it should be available in print by November.)
See you soon!

The winner! This cat won many trophies, awards, ribbons, and shows – and yet, today, there is probably no one alive that even remembers its name. Were it not for this photograph its memory may have been entirely forgotten. One wonders: was this victory worth the cost of obtaining it? Are there other victories that would not have been dimmed by the passage of time?
