Matthew 10:28
Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Some people use this verse to say “See, Hell isn’t forever! At some point the soul is destroyed and the person stops existing.” However, numerous other passages prove that this is not the case. This is an example of someone taking a single verse and using it, while ignoring all of the other verses that talk about a topic.
If you want to see what the Bible has to say about something, then you need to look at all of the passages that talk about the topic – not just the one that you like.
