Book Title Generator: Chapter Titles

This page is ridiculously popular – it’s the most viewed page on the blog. I’ll make this easy for you, then. If you are looking to generate chapter titles, here you go:

Chapter Title Generator

That is a webpage I built that can generate chapter titles. It is pure javascript, and should work in all browsers. It is also completely free of charge. All you have to do is go to the page, check the box besides “Include This Many Chapter Titles”, and press the Generate button. That’s it!

Here’s a sample of the results:

  1. Great start!
    A quick look at the chapter titles of the TS books on hand shows that about 1/3 of the titles should have a word related to one of the inventions or primary setting of the book. Also, about 1/20 mention a test of some kind. The others appear just as random as these.

  2. You know, that’s interesting – I hadn’t noticed. I’ll have to check into that. Thanks for pointing it out! That’s very subtle.

    Another thing I need to do is add an option to have the last chapter title be something related to victory or success. The last chapter in Jetmarine is “Victory”; Rocket Ship ends with “A Record Victory”. Not all of them end this way, but some do, and it would be a nice thing to add.
