  1. Hey that picture is of the Core from the Key right? A bit of an old model eh?

So John, when are we finally going to see some stories here and not all this artwork? Don’t get me wrong, I like the art but I’d like to see the stories pumping again.

  2. Great question! I’ve actually already written the mini-novel that goes along with this cover art (in fact, I just ordered some printed copies of the book the other day). The first chapter is scheduled to appear on November 22. The Jack Falcon books are mini-books of about 7 chapters each, with roughly 18,000 to 20,000 words. That makes them about 1/3rd the length of my Tom Swift fan fiction books but about 2/3rds the length of a normal Tom Swift story. They’re short enough to be easy to write – which is good because I have 18 of them planned. (The cover art for the rest of them will be posted over the following months.)

In other news, I’ve made tremendous progress on the second Stryker book, In the City of Tomorrow. So far I’ve written 19 chapters, which is about half of the book. It will start appearing in mid-December.

Let’s keep in mind that I have been writing a lot of non-fiction lately – there was Dinosaurs in History, and then the book on eschatology that I posted a few days ago. But if you are looking for fiction, the good news is that it will start appearing later this month! After November 22nd you should see several new chapters posted every week, and that will probably last well into next year.

Finally – yes, all of the cover art for the Jack Falcon books are based on screenshots from various games that I’ve made. Most of them are taken from The Key, although a few are taken from other projects that I started but never finished.

So – stay tuned! Good things are right around the corner.
